After a long, hard work week, most of us here at Volume Nine like to wind down with a lively atmosphere, cold drink, and satisfying (read: fried) snack. Luckily, we’re located in south Denver and have many neighborhood joints available to us. Here are some of our favorite happy hours around our office. Next time you stop by, insist we take you along for the ride.
This local pizza place is a favorite for sunny Fridays. Adorable, clean, modern, and friendly, we head to their patio for casual conversation after the day ends. Chowing down on pizza (my personal favorite is the Of The Earth) and sipping $3 Fat Tires is all in a days work. Amber Ale + Pizza = Happiness.
If you’ve ever been to our office, you may know that we’re located across the street from a Hacienda Colorado. And while the lunch crowds are big enough to deter us from frequenting too often, happy hours are another story.
Goblets of frozen margaritas pair well with guacamole and salsa. They also have a $4 mini-nachos– perfect for slowing down the absorption of tequila.
When we want a chill sports bar, we head to Choppers in Cherry Creek. They have happy hour til 7pm, allowing us two full hours to order up local craft beers, cocktails, and the occasional shot.
Another patio-and-pizza place we enjoy on occasion is Homegrown in Wash Park East. They have everything you need for a successful happy hour:
- Mini pizzas (don’t want to spoil your dinner)
- Local beer list
- Bags/ Cornhole outside
And while we have a lot of great happy hour options in south Denver, we more often than not stay in the office. What can we say? We’re thrifty like that.
